Problem: Masten Wright wanted
to reduce recurring costs as much as possible,
upgrade and secure their network, and still
allow for the utilization of a legacy Unix system
that they use for order processing.
Solution:
SBIT Consultants designed,
implemented, and now supports a client/server
Windows 2000/2003™ network that communicates
with the AT&T UNIX server that Masten Wright
uses for a legacy order entry/accounting application.
In an effort
to reduce recurring costs, we designed Masten
Wright's solution to enable the company to host
its own website and email via its existing
full T1 based Internet connection.
SBIT Consultants
also developed a custom Windows™ based
and Office™ integrated document management
application to keep track of a large amount
of specific office application files that Masten
Wright uses on a daily basis, reducing the time
employees were spending finding common files
on the company's server. Masten Wright also benefits from additional network services including shared faxing, centralized email filtering/management, and remote access to networked applications and data.

Problem: Civic Mortgage was
in need of technology implementation that would
support the company's growth and make it more
productive.
Solution:
With a small two computer
peer-to-peer network already in place and more
than two computers already on premises, Advantage
Technologies saw fit to implement a full client/server
Windows™ 2000 network. Remote access capabilities
were setup which let loan officers securely
access the network and process applications
both in and out of the office, creating a mobile
workforce anywhere in the world and making any
available time productive time.
In addition, SBIT Consultants
segmented the network into subnets, allowing
for secure hosting of company email separate
from the company's information server, creating
an even more secure network than the pre-existing
Civic Mortgage structure. This also enabled
the company to save money on email hosting and
allow for further expandability down the road.

Problem: Hanson Curran needed
technology that would increase the productivity
level of the firm and make their network more
secure.
Solution:
SBIT Consultants implemented
a Windows 2000™ client/server network
running Time Matters™ legal case management
software, PC Law™ accounting, and Office
XP™. This enabled the firm to save time
by using applications that integrated with each
other.
The network
also facilitated the hosting of the firm's email
and provided out of office contact attorneys
access to firm data via a dedicated DSL Internet
connection.
In an effort
to further the productivity of Hanson Curran,
SBIT Consultants implemented a high speed
document scanner and shared faxing solutions
to allow members of the firm to receive faxes
directly into their email inboxes.

use of VPN (virtual private network) technologies.

their health center access to patient information
captured at other locations, reducing patient
intake costs and data duplication.
SBIT Consultants also
implemented network solutions enabling the hosting
of the organization's website and email via
wireless Internet connections at one of the

sharing was also implemented via Microsoft Terminal
